They could pick 15 players but they would still get beaten.

2-0 defeat

Pellegrini out.

I'd go with that, but did read that Cresswell is having a late fitness test on a groin problem?

I'd love to see Anderson spark into life, but we need some points on the board, and every time he plays without sparking into life, the more likely we are to end up being desperate for those points

Interesting to read that MP thinks Anderson's best position is as a number 10, from what I read of his presser this week.

I'm not convinced. I'm just not convinced by that free role in general. Even Hazard, arguably the best player in the league, and who considers himself an out and out number 10, doesn't get to play there. It also means changing the shape of the team. He may have done well there vs Arsenal, but they were really poor defensively that day.

Irrespective, he has to come good and the only way that can happen is by playing him. I'd be tempted to start Arnie on the bench - we just cannot afford to aggravated his injury. Chicha can do one, which means Antonio starting up front.

Yes, I really did just type that.

Anderson needs to improve massively, but I’m praying for him to have his Arnautovic moment and spark his time with us into life. (Also there isn’t better available)

He uses Grady Diang on social media, I'm guessing he had to apply to the PL/FA to use the shortened version of his name after his début earlier in the season.

No more free rides for Anderson. Basically the defence gives itself, with Cress at LB, seeing that I will replace Anderson with Masuaku. Diangana (Still not sure why he is both Diang and Diangana) has made RW his. Obiang has worked ok in midfield and Snodgrass will have to slot in, because he seems the only one capable of actually being the square peg in a hole.
Arnie... Not sure if I really want to play him, as I am afraid we will break him beyond econimical repair. He was certainly not fit against Spurs.

Cant start Anderson

Forget about him getting better or his confidence

We are 13th and about to embark on a decent run of fixtures after being winless in 4. We need 3 points and Burnley at home should definately be that. 3 points is far more likely with Anderson out the side at the moment

State of our midfield right now we cant afford to be carrying shit that doesnt want to put the work in

Or it may give him a kick up the arse to let him know he needs to up his game? Might also do him good to get him out the firing line for a few games before the fans proper turn on him.

But whatever we do, don't let him take the fucking corners anymore. He clearly struggles to beat the first man and it's just getting him even more grief off the fans.

If there is one thing I have learnt over the course of the last 15-20 years being a west ham fan is that work rate, effort and commitment means more to us than the flicks, tricks and big billy bollocks persona.
Some clubs love the big time Charlie's, just look at how pogba strolls around the pitch half the time doing fuck all, one blinding pass and the mancs (most of them plastic) start creaming their knickers.
We have been blessed over the years with players of real talent such as Payet, but also had players who weren't world class, had their limitations as footballers but wore the shirt with pride and gave their all, and that to me is the biggest thing.
You can have all the talent in the world but that will only get you so far.. look at Ravel Morrison for example.
Players such as Snodgrass, rice, diop and zabaleta in recent weeks have been in good form, most of that is down to work rate, effort and a desire to play for the shirt..
Snodgrass deserves a special mention considering the comments from Sullivan about his transfer.
If Anderson is going to start performing he needs to just put the effort in, that alone allows you to play your way into form and show your worth.

I'd go with Ernie's team except I would be tempted to give Anderson another chance instead of Masuaku.
